|
Tuesday (9/8): "She will bear a son, and you
shall call him Jesus"
Scripture: Matthew 1:1-16, 18-23 (alternate reading:
Luke 6:12-19)
1 The book of the genealogy of Jesus Christ, the son of David, the
son of Abraham. 2 Abraham was the father of Isaac, and Isaac the
father of Jacob, and Jacob the father of Judah and his brothers, 3
and Judah the father of Perez and Zerah by Tamar, and Perez the
father of Hezron, and Hezron the father of Ram, 4 and Ram the father
of Ammin'adab, and Ammin'adab the father of Nahshon, and Nahshon the
father of Salmon, 5 and Salmon the father of Bo'az by Rahab, and
Bo'az the father of Obed by Ruth, and Obed the father of Jesse, 6
and Jesse the father of David the king. And David was the father of
Solomon by the wife of Uri'ah, 7 and Solomon the father of Rehobo'am,
and Rehobo'am the father of Abi'jah, and Abi'jah the father of Asa,
8 and Asa the father of Jehosh'aphat, and Jehosh'aphat the father of
Joram, and Joram the father of Uzzi'ah, 9 and Uzzi'ah the father of
Jotham, and Jotham the father of Ahaz, and Ahaz the father of
Hezeki'ah, 10 and Hezeki'ah the father of Manas'seh, and Manas'seh
the father of Amos, and Amos the father of Josi'ah, 11 and Josi'ah
the father of Jechoniah and his brothers, at the time of the
deportation to Babylon. 12 And after the deportation to Babylon:
Jechoni'ah was the father of She-al'ti-el, and She-al'ti-el the
father of Zerub'babel, 13 and Zerub'babel the father of Abi'ud, and
Abi'ud the father of Eli'akim, and Eli'akim the father of Azor, 14
and Azor the father of Zadok, and Zadok the father of Achim, and
Achim the father of Eli'ud, 15 and Eli'ud the father of Elea'zar,
and Elea'zar the father of Matthan, and Matthan the father of Jacob,
16 and Jacob the father of Joseph the husband of Mary, of whom Jesus
was born, who is called Christ.
18 Now the birth of Jesus Christ took place in this way. When his
mother Mary had been betrothed to Joseph, before they came together
she was found to be with child of the Holy Spirit; 19 and her
husband Joseph, being a just man and unwilling to put her to shame,
resolved to divorce her quietly. 20 But as he considered this,
behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying,
"Joseph, son of David, do not fear to take Mary your wife, for that
which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit; 21 she will bear a
son, and you shall call his name Jesus, for he will save his people
from their sins." 22 All this took place to fulfil what the Lord had
spoken by the prophet: 23 "Behold, a virgin shall conceive and bear
a son, and his name shall be called Emmanuel" (which means, God
with us).
Meditation: Do you rejoice in the promises of God and trust in
his saving plan for your life? There is a long venerable tradition among
many Christians of celebrating the birth of Mary, the mother of Jesus
our Savior, on this day. Her birth prepared for our redemption in Jesus
Christ. Matthew begins his gospel with the geneology of Jesus from
Abraham's lineage through the line of David, King of Israel. Matthew
concludes his geneology by stating that both Mary, Jesus' mother and
Joseph, his foster father, came from the line of David. Mary was asked
to assume in faith a burden of tremendous responsibility. It had never
been heard of before that a child could be born without a natural
father. Mary was asked to accept this miraculous exception to the laws
of nature. That required faith and trust. Second, Mary was not yet
married. Pregnancy outside of wedlock was not tolerated in those days.
Mary was only espoused to Joseph, and such an engagement had to last for
a whole year. She was asked to assume a great risk. She could have been
rejected by Joseph, by her family, by all her own people. Mary knew that
Joseph and her family would not understand without revelation from God.
She nonetheless believed and trusted in God's promises. Joseph, a just
and God-fearing man, believed the message given to him to take Mary as
his wife and to accept the child in her womb as the promised Messiah.
Like Mary, Joseph is a model of faith for us. He is a faithful witness
and servant of God's unfolding plan of redemption. Are you willing to
trust and obey the Lord as Mary and Joseph did?
What is the significance of Matthew's genealogy? His genealogy is
arranged in three sections portraying three great stages in the
spiritual history of the people of the old covenant. The first stage
begins with Abraham, the father of the chosen people, and ends with
David, God's anointed King. The second stage takes us to the exile of
God's people in Babylon. This is the period of Israel's shame and
disaster due to her unfaithfulness. The third stage takes us to Jesus,
God's anointed Messiah. Jesus the Messiah is the direct descent of
Abraham and David, and the rightful heir to David's throne. God in his
mercy fulfilled his promises to Abraham and to David that he would send
a Savior and a King to rule over the house of Israel and to deliver them
from their enemies. Jesus is the fulfillment of all God's promises. He
is the hope not only for the people of the Old Covenant but for all
nations as well. He is the Savior of the world. In him we receive
adoption into a royal priesthood and holy nation as sons and daughters
of the living God (see 1 Peter 1:9). Do you recognize your spiritual
genealogy and do you accept God as your Father and Jesus as the
sovereign King and Lord of your life?
"Lord Jesus, you came to save us from sin and the power of death. May
I always rejoice in your salvation and trust in your plan for my life".
Psalm 145:2-3, 10-13
2 Every day I will bless thee, and praise thy name for ever and ever.
3 Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised, and his greatness is
unsearchable.
10 All thy works shall give thanks to thee, O LORD, and all thy saints
shall bless thee!
11 They shall speak of the glory of thy kingdom, and tell of thy power,
12 to make known to the sons of men thy mighty deeds, and the glorious
splendor of thy kingdom.
13 Thy kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and thy dominion endures
throughout all generations. The LORD is faithful in all his words, and
gracious in all his deeds.

Pope's Message for Mission Day
"We Should Have a Longing and a Passion to Illumine All Peoples With the Light of Christ"
VATICAN CITY, SEPT. 7, 2009 ( Zenit.org).- Here is a Vatican translation of Benedict XVI's address for the 83rd World Mission Day, which will be celebrated this year on Sunday, Oct. 18. The message, dated June 29, feast of Sts. Peter and Paul, was published Saturday in six languages.
* * *
"The nations will walk in its light" (Rev 21:24)
On this Sunday, dedicated to the missions, I turn first of all to you, my brothers in the episcopal and the priestly ministry, and then to you, my brothers and sisters, the whole People of God, to encourage in each one of you a deeper awareness of Christ's missionary mandate to "make disciples of all peoples" (Mt 28:19), in the footsteps of Saint Paul, the Apostle of the nations.
"The nations will walk in its light" (Rev 21:24). The goal of the Church's mission is to illumine all peoples with the light of the Gospel as they journey through history towards God, so that in Him they may reach their full potential and fulfilment. We should have a longing and a passion to illumine all peoples with the light of Christ that shines on the face of the Church, so that all may be gathered into the one human family, under God's loving fatherhood.
It is in this perspective that the disciples of Christ spread throughout the world work, struggle and groan under the burden of suffering, offering their very lives. I strongly reiterate what was so frequently affirmed by my venerable Predecessors: the Church works not to extend her power or assert her dominion, but to lead all people to Christ, the salvation of the world. We seek only to place ourselves at the service of all humanity, especially the suffering and the excluded, because we believe that "the effort to proclaim the Gospel to the people of today... is a service rendered to the Christian community and also to the whole of humanity" (Evangelii Nuntiandi, 1), which "has experienced marvellous achievements but which seems to have lost its sense of ultimate realities and of existence itself" (Redemptoris Missio, 2).
All Peoples are called to salvation
In truth, the whole of humanity has the radical vocation to return to its source, to return to God, since in Him alone can it find fulfilment through the restoration of all things in Christ. Dispersion, multiplicity, conflict and enmity will be healed and reconciled through the blood of the Cross and led back to unity.
This new beginning can already be seen in the resurrection and exaltation of Christ, who draws all things to himself, renewing them and enabling them to share in the eternal joy of God. The future of the new creation is already shining in our world and, despite contradictions and suffering, it enkindles hope for new life. The Church's mission is to spread hope "contagiously" among all peoples. This is why Christ calls, justifies, sanctifies and sends his disciples to proclaim the Kingdom of God, so that all nations may become the People of God. It is only in this mission that the true journey of humanity is understood and attested. The universal mission should become a fundamental constant in the life of the Church. Proclamation of the Gospel must be for us, as it was for the Apostle Paul, a primary and unavoidable duty.
The Pilgrim Church
The universal Church, which knows neither borders nor frontiers, is aware of her responsibility to proclaim the Gospel to entire peoples (cf. Evangelii Nuntiandi, 53). It is the duty of the Church, called to be a seed of hope, to continue Christ's service in the world. The measure of her mission and service is not material or even spiritual needs limited to the sphere of temporal existence, but instead, it is transcendent salvation, fulfilled in the Kingdom of God (cf. Evangelii Nuntiandi, 27). This Kingdom, although ultimately eschatological and not of this world (cfr Jn 18:36), is also in this world and within its history a force for justice and peace, for true freedom and respect for the dignity of every human person. The Church wishes to transform the world through the proclamation of the Gospel of love, "that can always illuminate a world grown dim and give us the courage needed to keep living and working … and in this way … cause the light of God to enter into the world" (Deus Caritas Est, 39). With this message I renew my invitation to all the members and institutions of the Church to participate in this mission and this service.
Missio ad gentes
The mission of the Church, therefore, is to call all peoples to the salvation accomplished by God through his incarnate Son. It is therefore necessary to renew our commitment to proclaiming the Gospel which is a leaven of freedom and progress, brotherhood, unity and peace (cf. Ad Gentes, 8). I would "confirm once more that the task of evangelizing all people constitutes the essential mission of the Church" (Evangelii Nuntiandi, 14), a duty and a mission which the widespread and profound changes in present-day society render ever more urgent. At stake is the eternal salvation of persons, the goal and the fulfilment of human history and the universe. Animated and inspired by the Apostle of the nations, we must realize that God has many people in all the cities visited by the apostles of today (cfr Acts 18:10). In fact "the promise is to you and to your children and to all that are far off, every one whom the Lord our God calls to him" (Acts 2:39).
The whole Church must be committed to the missio ad gentes, until the salvific sovereignty of Christ is fully accomplished: "At present, it is true, we are not able to see that all things are in subjection to him" (Heb 2:8).
Called to evangelize even through martyrdom
On this day dedicated to the missions, I recall in prayer those who have consecrated their lives exclusively to the work of evangelization. I mention especially the local Churches and the men and women missionaries who bear witness to and spread the Kingdom of God in situations of persecution, subjected to forms of oppression ranging from social discrimination to prison, torture and death. Even today, not a few are put to death for the sake of his "Name". The words of my venerable Predecessor, Pope John Paul II, continue to speak powerfully to us: "The Jubilee remembrance has presented us with a surprising vista, showing us that our own time is particularly prolific in witnesses, who in different ways were able to live the Gospel in the midst of hostility and persecution, often to the point of the supreme test of shedding their blood" (Novo Millennio Ineunte, 41).
Participation in the mission of Christ is also granted to those who preach the Gospel, for whom is reserved the same destiny as their Master. "Remember the words I said to you: A servant is not greater than his master. If they persecuted me, they will persecute you too" (Jn 15:20). The Church walks the same path and suffers the same destiny as Christ, since she acts not on the basis of any human logic or relying on her own strength, but instead she follows the way of the Cross, becoming, in filial obedience to the Father, a witness and a travelling companion for all humanity.
I remind Churches of ancient foundation and those that are more recent that the Lord has sent them to be the salt of the earth and the light of the world, and he has called them to spread Christ, the Light of the nations, to the far corners of the earth. They must make the Missio ad gentes a pastoral priority.
I am grateful to the Pontifical Mission Societies and I encourage them in their indispensable service of promoting missionary animation and formation, as well as channelling material help to young Churches. Through these Pontifical Institutions, communion among the Churches is admirably achieved via the exchange of gifts, reciprocal concern and shared missionary endeavours.
Conclusion
Missionary zeal has always been a sign of the vitality of our Churches (cf. Redemptoris Missio, 2). Nevertheless it must be reaffirmed that evangelization is primarily the work of the Spirit; before being action, it is witness and irradiation of the light of Christ (cf. Redemptoris Missio, 26) on the part of the local Church, which sends men and women beyond her frontiers as missionaries. I therefore ask all Catholics to pray to the Holy Spirit for an increase in the Church's passion for her mission to spread the Kingdom of God and to support missionaries and Christian communities involved in mission, in the front line, often in situations of hostility and persecution.
At the same time I ask everyone, as a credible sign of communion among the Churches, to offer financial assistance, especially in these times of crisis affecting all humanity, to enable the young local Churches to illuminate the nations with the Gospel of charity.
May we be guided in our missionary activity by the Blessed Virgin Mary, Star of New Evangelization, who brought Christ into the world to be the light of the nations and to carry salvation "to the ends of the earth" (Acts 13:47).
To all I impart my Blessing.

CHAPTER VI.
BAPTISM OF CHRIST. HIS FAST.
MARY'S DOINGS DURING THESE EVENTS.
Leaving his beloved Mother in the poor dwelling at
Nazareth, our Redeemer, without accompaniment of any human creature, but
altogether taken up with the exercise of his most ardent charity,
pursued his journey to the Jordan, where, in the neighborhood of a town
called Bethany, otherwise called Betharaba, on the farther side of the
river, his Precursor was preaching and baptizing. At the first steps
from the house, our Redeemer, raising his eyes to the eternal Father,
offered up to Him anew with an infinite love, whatever He was now about
to begin for the salvation of mankind: his labors, sorrows, passion and
death of the Cross, assumed for them in obedience to the eternal Will,
the natural grief at parting as a true and loving Son from his Mother
and at leaving her sweet company, which for twenty-nine years He had now
enjoyed. The Lord of all creation walked alone, without show and
ostentation of human retinue. The supreme King of kings and Lord of
lords (Apoc. 19, 16), was unknown and despised by his own vassals,
vassals so much his own, that they owed their life and preservation
entirely to Him. His royal outfit was nothing but the utmost poverty and
destitution.
While proceeding on his way to the Jordan our Savior
dispensed his ancient mercies by relieving the necessities of body and
soul in many of those whom He encountered at different places. Yet this
was always done in secret; for before his Baptism He gave no public
token of his divine power and his exalted office. Before appearing at
the Jordan, He filled the heart of saint John with new light and joy,
which changed and elevated his soul. Perceiving these new workings of
grace within himself, he reflected upon them full of wonder, saying:
"What mystery is this? What presentiments of happiness? From the moment
when I recognized the presence of my Lord in the womb of my mother, I
have not felt such stirring of my soul as now! Is it possible that He is
now happily come, or that the Savior of the world is now near me?" Upon
this enlightenment of the Baptist followed an intellectual vision,
wherein he perceived with greater clearness the mystery of the
hypostatic union of the person of the Word with the humanity and other
mysteries of the Redemption. In the fulness of this intellectual light
he gave the testimonies, which are recorded by saint John in his Gospel
and which occurred while the Lord was in the desert and afterwards, when
He returned to the banks of the Jordan. The Evangelist mentions one of
these public testimonies as happening at the interpellation of the Jews,
and the other when the Precursor exclaimed: "Behold the lamb of God," as
I shall narrate later on (John 1, 36). Although the Baptist had
been instructed in great mysteries, when he was commanded to go forth to
preach and baptize; yet all of them were manifested to him anew and with
greater clearness and abundance on this occasion, and he was then
notified that the Savior of the world was coming to be baptized.
The Lord then joined the multitude and asked Baptism
of saint John as one of the rest. The Baptist knew Him and, falling at
his feet, hesitated, saying: "I have need of being baptized, and Thou,
Lord, askest Baptism of me?" as is recorded by saint Matthew. But the
Savior answered: "Suffer it to be so now. For so it becometh us to
fulfill all justice."
When saint John had finished baptizing our Lord, the
heavens opened and the Holy Ghost descended visibly in the form of a
dove upon his head and the voice of his Father was heard: "This is my
beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased" (Matth. 3, 17). Many of the
bystanders heard this voice, namely, those who were not worthy of such a
wonderful favor; they also saw the Holy Ghost descending upon the
Savior. This was the most convincing proof which could ever be given of
the Divinity of the Savior, as well on the part of the Father, who
acknowledged Him his Son, as also in to the nature of the testimony
given; for without any reserve was Christ manifested as the true God,
equal to his eternal Father in substance and in perfection. The Father
himself wished to be the first to testify to the Divinity of Christ in
order that by virtue of his testimony all the other witnesses might be
ratified. There was also another mystery in this voice of the eternal
Father: it was as it were a restoration of the honor or Son before the
world and a recompense for his having thus humiliated Himself by
receiving the Baptism of the remission of sins, though He was entirely
free from fault and never could have upon Him the guilt of (Heb. 7, 26).

DIVINE MERCY
|
Divine Mercy In my soul
The Mercy of the Lord I will sing Forever.
Divine Mercy in my soul.
Sr. Faustina, Diary
NOTEBOOK V
January 25, 1938. My
Jesus, how good and patient You are! You often look upon us as little
children. We often beg You, but we don't know what for, because towards the
end of the prayer, when You give us what we have asked for, we do not want
to accept it.
One day, a certain sister came to me and asked me for prayers, telling me
that she could no longer stand things as they were. "And so, please pray
Sister. " I answered that I would, and I began a novena to the Divine Mercy.
I learned that God would give her the grace, but that she would once again
be dissatisfied when she received it. However, I kept on praying as she had
asked me to do. The next day, the same sister came looking for me, and when
we again began to talk about the same thing, I told her, "You know Sister,
when we pray, we ought not to force the Lord God to give us what we want,
but we should rather submit to His holy will." But she thought that what she
was asking for was indispensable. Towards the end of the novena, the Sister
came again and said, "O Sister, the Lord Jesus has given me the grace, but
now I am of a different mind. Please pray that somehow things will somehow
be different again". I answered, "Yes I will pray, but what God's will be
done in you Sister, and not what you want."
Most Merciful Heart of Jesus, protect us from the just anger of God.
A certain sister is constantly persecuting me for the sole reason that God
communes with me so intimately, and she thinks that this is all pretense on
my part. When she thinks that I have done something amiss she says. "Some
people have revelations, but commit such faults!" She has said this to all
the sisters and always in a derogatory sense, in order to make me out as
some sort of oddity. One day, it caused me much pain to think that this
insignificant drop which is the human brain can so easily scrutinize the
gifts of God. After Holy Communion, I prayed that the Lord would enlighten
her, but nevertheless I learned that this soul will not attain perfection if
she does not change her interior dispositions. When I complained to the Lord
Jesus about a certain person (saying), "Jesus, how can this person pass
judgment like that, even about an intention?" the Lord answered,
Do not be surprised. That soul does not even know
her own self, so how could she pass a fair judgment on another soul?
Today I saw Father Andrasz at prayer. I also
knew that he was interceding with the Lord for me. The Lord sometimes makes
known to me who is praying for me.
I am keeping myself a bit in the back ground, as though this work of God did
not interest me. I am not speaking about it at present, but my whole soul is
steeped in prayer, and I am entreating God to be so good as to hasten this
great gift; that is to say, the Feast of Mercy. And I see that Jesus is
acting, and is Himself giving the directives as to how this is to be carried
out. Nothing happens by accident.
Today I said to the Lord Jesus, " Do You see how many difficulties there are
(to be overcome) before they will believe that You yourself are the author
of this work? And even now, not everyone believes in it.
Be at peace, My child; nothing can oppose My
will. In spite of the murmuring and hostility of the sisters, My will shall
be done in you in all its fullness, down to the last detail of My wishes and
designs. Do not become sad about this; I too was a stumbling stone for some
souls.
Jesus complained to me of how painful to Him is
the unfaithfulness of chosen souls, and My Heart
is even more wounded by their distrust after a fall. It would be less
painful if they had not experienced the goodness of My Heart.
I saw the anger of God hanging heavy over
Poland. And now I see that if God were to visit our country with the
greatest chastisements, that would still be great mercy because, for such
grave transgressions, He could punish is with eternal annihilation. I was
paralyzed with fear when the Lord lifted the veil a little for me. Now I see
clearly that chosen souls keep the world in existence to fulfill the measure
(of justice).
I saw a certain priest's efforts in prayer. His prayer is similar to that of
the Lord Jesus in the Garden of Olives. Oh, if that priest (probably Father
Sopocko) only knew how pleasing to God that prayer was!
O Jesus, I am locking myself in Your most merciful Heart as in a fortress,
impregnable against the missiles of my enemies.
Today I found myself in the presence of a certain dying person who was
approaching death in my home neighborhood. I supported her with my prayers
and after a few moments, I felt for a short while pain in my hand, feet and
side..

Show
the American people what an abortion is!
(continued)
I know abortions were
serious but I did not know that they were that bad. Thank u for opening
my eyes to the sin of the world. I will do my best to open other to the
evils of abortions.
·
Thank you,
thank you so much for showing me what it really means to be pro-life. I
had no idea until I accidentally found this site while looking for facts
and articles on abortion and such for an essay that I had to do for my
school, I plan to share this info with my peers and teachers. This is a
wonderful thing that you are doing and I think that the public should be
made more aware of what abortion really is. I don't think very many
people realize that abortion isn't something to take so lightly. It is
sick what people are doing to these unborn/preborn children and I think
more people should be made aware of what abortion really is. Thank you
for showing me what pro-life means.
·
How can people
kill these babies. They must have no souls and actually think that this
is good for the baby. Would you like to be burned alive? Would you like
to be cut up alive? The babies are living things and I don’t think that
the abortion doctors and people who have abortions realize that.
·
Dear Father
Pavone, I agree entirely with you and others who believe that people
will not stop abortion until they see abortion. I am a survivor of the
culture of death. My babies were not. When I began to fully grieve their
loss I felt a strong need to see what I had consented to do. The
websites that feature photos of the aborted little ones brought to light
what I had been brainwashed into denying. I now attend prayer vigils
outside the Presidential Women's Clinic...and participate in Respect
Life. I have done a little sidewalk counseling and I know the impact a
photo can have. I would like to suggest a national direct-mail flyer or
pamphlet that would show photos of the horror of abortion. What do you
think? Years ago an evangelical Christian group direct-mailed videos of
the life of Jesus to residences throughout the U.S. Surely flyers or
pamphlets would cost less. God bless you and all at PFL.
·
Thank you for
providing the images. I had never seen such detailed pictures. I’ve seen
grisly, and these are definitely horrific, but you can really make out
the details in these images. They are all awful, but the ones that
strike most at my heart are the 22 and 24 week pictures. My oldest
daughter was born at 27 weeks and those babies look so much like she did
when she was born. She weighed 1 pound 13 ounces, and we were told she
wasn’t going to live, and if she did then she’d be severely handicapped.
WELL-She most certainly lived, and has come through with flying colors.
Praise God!!
·
These pictures
are shocking but I wish women thinking about abortion could see these
before make up their minds. God bless you for developing this web site.
·
I think that
those photos of the fetus who were aborted is disturbing, however the
people who allow this to happen are sick and disturbed and need to get
help. Those babies did not ask to be created and then have their breath
sucked right out of them.
More
Comments from our Visitors
Regarding the Graphic photos of Abortion on our Website
·
I saw the
photos of the babies. My heart is broken for those poor children. I know
they are in Heaven, with our Lord, but my heart is broken for them,
since they did not even get a chance to live their lives. They had no
chance, with the awful parents they had. I hope that they pay for what
they did. I am appalled by the people who perform these murders and the
parents who request them. They are never going to be fit parents. They
will be judged someday for the awful things they have done.
·
I would like to
say that the abortion pictures were just sick. I am not insulting
whoever put them up, as they do serve a purpose. They show those who
have heard of abortions and know the basics (person gets pregnant, baby
is killed) but don't know the disgusting details. Now I realize why
those who protest abortions do so.
·
I'm 25,
white...from an middle class family in NY. Before seeing this site I was
100% pro choice...thinking that no one person or group had the right to
tell a women what she can or cannot do with her body. However after
seeing these photos, I can honestly say I have changed my opinion. If
more people saw the end result of their decisions, I truly believe they
would think twice. Quick thing. My fiancée is going through pre-mature
menopause at the age of 26, and is therefore unable to bear a child. It
sickens me at the number of dead, discarded children sitting on this web
site alone. To me, this is just a sampling of millions of healthy
children that could have been adopted by truly loving people like my
fiancée. Please keep this site going.... Thank you
·
I have always
been against abortion and the photographs on your web site only affirm
my beliefs.
·
You guys are
doing a fantastic job of telling the people the grim truth about
abortions. Before I saw this site, I was against abortion, but I never
thought that much about it. Your site has changed me. When I saw the
gruesome pictures of little children and abortion tools, I was sickened.
I wanted to cry, to shout and to vomit all at once. I’m positive that if
this information was spread to everyone, abortions would be made
illegal, for no one can look at these poor murdered children and say
they are not human.
·
Thank you so
much for showing these pictures. I never knew what an abortion looked
like and now I am horrified! I am doing research for my church on
What your opinion on Abortions are, and there are alot of people who
think you can have an abortion depending on the situation but I think
that is very wrong. If the person can get themselves pregnant then they
can be responsible enough to take care of the baby. Everyone is
"sugar-coating" abortions because they think that it will be hard for
the person who was raped to live with the baby as a reminder, but it
wasn’t their fault or the baby’s fault so don’t punish the baby! The
will be making a mistake or sin, just like the rapist!

Hi there... I
am 6 months pregnant with my first child, and wanted to see if I could
find pictures of what the baby looks like. While I fell in love with the
developmental pictures, I was horrified at the pictures of aborted
babies. How could someone do this to a child? My baby kicks all the
time...how could you feel that life inside you and kill it? Please keep
up the good work...

photos of Abortion on our Website
I was
literally sick when I saw these pictures. I actually sat here and cried,
wondering how anyone could ever be so brutal. I thank God for my son
every day. How a mother could just kill her child and think nothing of
it is totally beyond me. God Bless these babies who never had a chance.
It is the most horrific thing in the world that I’ve ever seen. These
poor babies did not ask to be created, but yet they are the ones who
suffer a terribly painful death because of the so called "mistakes" the
mothers made. … I think they should all be shown pictures of their
babies after they do such a thing, so that they may never forget what
they did for the rest of their lives.

From the inception of his
pro-life work, Fr. Frank Pavone has been urging the mass media to show
the American people what an abortion is. Abortion is a reality which is
so horrific that
words alone can never convey its meaning.
Fr. Frank serves on the board
of the
Center for Bioethical Reform, which makes it a priority to share
with the nation the world's largest collection of images of actual
abortions. In conjunction with that organization, a
series of careful analyses of what the pro-life movement can learn
from other social reform movements is being prepared.
We present here some of the
grim reality of abortion. Only
seeing such images can bring us to the kind of indignation needed to
sustain the sacrifices that will be necessary to finally bring an end to
this injustice.
These images are arranged
according to the gestational age of the children who were killed. You
will note that below the link to each image is a link to a document
signed by a pathologist who attests to the medical accuracy that
particular image. Each document was also notarized. This pathologist,
Dr. Abigail Allen, worked specifically with the remains of aborted
children.
It is especially critical to
show people the images of babies aborted in the first trimester. It is
in regard to such children, who constitute 90% of abortion victims, that
the myth persists that they are not really children at all.
We thank all of you who have
contacted us to tell us about
how these images have affected you. Please use them to show others
this horrible reality.
God, have mercy. Amen.·
